12axes.live is a free educational project for examining political values across twelve separate dimensions. The site was built around a simple idea: a single left–right label hides disagreements that become visible when economics, state power, social change, technology, ecology, justice, hierarchy, religion, military policy, political strategy, and information are considered separately.
What the site is for
Use the test to notice tensions in your own views, compare scores with friends, or find concepts worth reading about. The axis and ideology pages are written as starting points. They make the framework explicit so you can disagree with its definitions rather than treating a chart as an authority.
What the site is not
It is not a scientific personality assessment, a voting guide, a measure of civic worth, or a definitive classifier. Political traditions contain internal disagreements, and five statements cannot exhaust an axis. Results should be interpreted with that limitation in view.
Editorial principles
- Describe both poles without presenting one as the correct answer.
- Separate the site’s operational definitions from universal claims.
- Keep scoring visible and explain how ideology matches are produced.
- Keep raw answer sequences in the browser and require no account.
Corrections and revisions
The framework, question wording, and reference profiles may be revised to improve clarity or balance. Material methodology changes will be documented in the project changelog so older results can be interpreted in context.
